Steven H. Kahn, AIA NCARB has more than 30 years of experience in the building design and construction industry. Mr. Kahn specializes in FORENSIC ARCHITECTURE having extensive experience with building codes, design theory, general construction practices, roofing assemblies and project management.
Mr. Kahn is an expert on behalf of architects, contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers and others.
Mr. Kahn's building envelope experience includes water intrusion design / construction defects at building foundations, exterior windows / walls and roofing components and assemblies.
Mr. Kahn's portfolio includes architecture design services for new buildings, building repairs, building renovations for commercial and residential buildings, including healthcare facilities, industrial warehouse buildings, and elevated parking garage structures.
Mr. Kahn is a Florida licensed ARCHITECT, and holds multi-jurisdiction state architecture licenses. Mr. Kahn is an active Florida licensed GENERAL CONTRACTOR. Mr. Kahn is currently an inactive Florida licensed CERTIFIED ROOFER. Mr. Kahn is a Florida licensed REAL ESTATE SALES ASSOCIATE.
Mr. Kahn obtained his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Miami School of Architecture in 1990, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) as well as other professional associations and organizations.
Mr. Kahn has extensive experience serving a wide range of clients, providing expert witness forensic architecture services to attorneys for building design and / or construction defect litigation matters representing a plaintiff or defendant.
Mr. Kahn provides fact finding building condition assessments, expert reports determining cause & origin of design / construction defects and provides deposition and trial testimony.
